Backpacking can reduce the risk of heart diseases, and strokes, which could save your life.  It reduces body fat, increases lean, strong, muscles, and increases energy!

Backpacking promotes a healthy lifestyle. It is a wonderful way to reduce stress and regroup mentally.  it is your chance, to get out on the trail, be immersed in our natural environment, and clean out the cob webs!

Weight bearing exercise is one of the primary recommendations for prevention of osteoporosis.

You can lose weight, improve cardio vascular functions,  prevent heart disease, decrease hypertension or high blood pressure, improve and maintain mental health, slow the aging process, prevent osteoporosis, prevent and control diabetes, improve arthritis, relieve back pain,

If you want to burn calories backpacking is a good way to do that. Backpacking also strengthens your bones and reduces stress. Hard exercise stimulates the body to release a endorphins. You will certainly sleep soundly after a full day on the trail!
